Happy Monday… happy cold Monday. This morning was the beginning of months of cold mornings. I found myself sitting in the chair in the living room watching Today and up to my neck in my down comforter… and still cold. Of course, this may have had something to do with my hair being wet and cold and eating cold Honey Nut Cheerios and cold yogurt… maybe not the smartest breakfast choice. Anyway… I had to talk myself into getting out of the chair, out from under my comforter and into the bathroom to finish getting ready.
What did I do last week? Let’s see.. last Wednesday, Jim and I met with our wedding photographer Tiffany. She grew up across the street from Jim. We went over what we wanted and decided to go with ten hours of wedding day coverage, we get to keep all of our proofs, and we get “free” engagement pictures. All for a reasonable price! Woo-hoo! We are getting our engagement pictures taken next Saturday in a park nearby.
Friday, I went to Whitehall in the morning. My mom and I went to the greenhouse in town and got pricing for my bouquet, corsages, and centerpieces. As of right now, the only “real” flowers I am having is my bouquet. Later we went to Hobby Lobby and found the perfect mini calla lillies!! They will work so well for the guys boutineer’s. And… dun dun dun… they were only fifty cents each! I am so pumped. Then we went back to Whitehall and met with Sue at Pekadills to go over the chocolate fountain for the reception. That’s right folks… three hours and 20 pounds of free flowing chocolate.
Mom left for a crazy weekend up north with her sisters. Or it was a nice weekend away at a cabin with her sisters. Apparently there was a fall festival going on or something. So, I waited until Dad got home then we went out to dinner. That was fun and really nice. I don’t get to just sit down and talk to Dad much anymore. You should ask him about his donut onion rings… good night! Those things were massive!
I headed back home then and came home to Brandsen, Roberts, and Jim playing Tecmo football on the good ole Nintendo. It cracks me up that they still love to play that and still get sooo into it. You should have seen/heard them. Lots of yelling and trash talking, so I organized most of my scrapbooks pictures… I am such a girl! Saturday and Sunday were just nice relaxing days… I caught up on my sleep, did a little running, bike riding with Jim, playing football with Jim, church, letting Jim beat me at poker, and some movie watching. A pretty good weekend, I must say.
Have a good week!
