Thanks… for reading my blog

Welp, here I am back to work after 5 days off. It was a nice vacation because I was productive and had time for fun.

On Wednesday, I met Andrea and my parents in Muskegon for Andrea’s follow-up appointment. I didn’t go into details on here before, but everything is OK. Just have to get check-up’s every few years. It could be genetic, so I get to have the tests, too. If this has left you utterly confused, ask Andrea or I. 🙂 It may not be “blog” appropriate. Somtimes I think someone should come up with a manual for blog etiquette. Anyway, later that night, Jim and I went to Stranger Than Fiction for Suz’s birthday. It was a pretty good movie. Different than you would think it would be.

Thursday was of course, Thanksgiving! We made the trip to Hesperia for the day. It was a good time full of food, Catch Phrase, the boys kicking field goals at Hesperia’s football field (Jim’s in a lot of pain and frankly, I don’t have sympathy), seeing Jason and Courtney’s new land, getting Grandma to swear (just kidding, we were asking her the name of an old hardware store and it was owned by the Dam family…), and of course the 15 year old toast to Howmet Corporation for no reason.

Friday, Jim had to go back to work, so I did some cleaning and improved my skill in laziness. That night, we headed to Muskegon and met the “Small’s”, David and Heather for the annual Thanksgiving bowling. Good times. We even made it for Cosmic Bowling… that’s a whole different kind of experience.

On Saturday, Christmas hit 7471 Glendora… hard. Our tree went up, fall decorations came down, Christmas decorations took their place, and lights went all over the outside of our house. We are officially Christmas-fied and I like it.

Yesterday, we hit up the 9 AM service because Jim didn’t have fifty6. We spent the rest of the day doing nothing… and it felt good. However, I did paint the trim in the living room entryway and the bathroom… that also felt good. Oh… and we did watch Titanic on TV because we haven’t seen it in a while. Jim and I both said that everytime we watch it, we think it will have a different ending and the boat won’t sink. Nope… same depressing/watching people freeze to death movie as it always is. Did I ever mention that my least favorite thing is being cold… but the absolute worst scenario I could think of would would be being wet and cold… hmmm. I think it’s safe to say, the last half hour of Titanic is not my favorite thing to watch.
