Weekend Update

Well, I did it. I made it to 24. Sometimes it seems old and sometimes it still seems really young. That’s good though, right?

My birthday was a good day. I got to catch up with my parents in Whitehall and I also have all my Barbie stuff and other toys in my basement now. I seriously considering setting up my Barbie village again… I have the Barbie grocery store with working scanner!!

Jim also treated me well. Dinner at Olive Garden, a new fleece and gloves, and a cute card….

Saturday was another story… well half of it. I decided to put up the new bathroom light that I have had for like a month. I figured out the wiring and all that. So I go to drill holes for the new hanging bracket and the ceiling starts to crumble and fall apart. I notice a distinct square in the ceiling that seems to be out of place. Apparently, there was some sort of light there before that had to be mounted in the ceiling, so when that came down, they filled in the square with some corkboard stuff and then painted over it. Well, this didn’t hold up when I started drilling into it and now we have to put a new piece of drywall up there because it looks horrible and wouldn’t hold the light up. In the meantime, our bathroom is being lit by a table lamp and a floor lamp. Let me tell you, my arms are worthless after holding that light up and drilling into the ceiling for two hours… oy. The day took a turn for the better when we went to my student leader’s meeting. It was good time! One of the leader’s works with Dad Braam, so they got to share stories… ha!

Sunday was a good church service and then Braam Thanksgiving! It included, a lot of food, games, games, Haley playtime, and a nice nap. The nap was an accident…

Only working two days this week, so I am very excited. Vacation… here I come!
