On your mark, get set…

The run was pretty good. It was a balmy 24 degrees or so when we started, but it got pretty “warm” after the first mile and a half. Michele and I had the privilege of running with leprechauns and random men in kilts. Oh my…
My final time was OK, a little slower than I wanted (about 50 seconds slower), but a lot better than two years ago. Michele did really well. She, of course, beat me. 🙂 Jim did amazing. He did it in 22:29. He wanted to do it faster, but this was his first 3 mile race, so I think he did well. We have another 2 months until the Riverbank, so it’s enough time to do it faster!

I had a meeting with the Mississippi team last night. Got to meet a lot of the kids going on the trip. That sounds weird to me because I grew up in a small youth group and you knew everybody. But when you have over 100 freshmen alone, it’s hard to know everybody. 🙂 I have a little under half of my support it, so we are getting there! Thanks for your prayers and support already! I think this will be a great time.

Tonight is the final night of my rec volleyball league. I am sad for it to be over. It was so much fun. We have a tournament tonight that will determine who gets first place. We are seeded #1 right now, so let’s hope we can keep it!

  1. Yeah! Nice job with the racing. Lots of people here at Block are running in the breast cancer 5K this April, but I just can’t make myself do it. It reminds me wayyy too much of high school cross country days. . .
P.S. you are KILLING me with the updates- I need to get on the ball.

  2. You guys are so competitive. Our kids can’t play on rival sports teams. Yours will make mine cry. 😉
Did you win your volleyball game Monday?
