Well… it’s here. That white stuff that I think of as Mother Nature’s dandruff. Sure, it’s pretty. Sure, my future father-in-law worships it. Sure, it looks nice on trees and Christmas lights. But can’t someone just buy a bottle of Head and Shoulders for Mother Nature? Personally, I don’t have much use for snow. I would like it to be here for a week: December 19-26. Then it’s here for Christmas and I can fit in one sledding trip. Then it can be 70-80 for the rest of the year. Is that too much to ask? Then I stop myself and realize that, “Wendy. You aren’t the only person in the world and some crazy people actually care for the dry skin cells falling from Mother Nature’s head.” So, for you snow lovers I accept it and this is now the end of my rantings.
Jim and I still don’t have our couch! I think Van Hill scammed us and took our money and ran! I have forgotten what it looks like. It’s tan I think… or maybe blue… or is it orange?? ** Just kidding if any Van Hill super fans are reading this **
Soo… the big 2-3 for me tomorrow. Twenty-three… such an odd age… literally. But it will be the last year I am a Paxson and the first year I am a Braam. And the last and first for many other things 🙂 I think it will be a pretty good year. Jim and I are meeting my parents in Muskegon at Johnny Carino’s for dinner. The Braam family got my a gift card to Bed Bath & Beyond! I already have the lamps picked out !
On Friday, Julie, Teresa, and I are going to see “Harry Potter” in the 3D IMAX!!! I am going to pee my pants… for real. It’s going to be so big and so scary and so good!
On Saturday, a bunch of us are going to Howell (east of Lansing) for Hudsonville’s playoff game. If they win this, they go Ford Field!! It will be cold, but I am already planning my several layers of clothing and gallons of coffee and/or hot chocolate. Maybe I should just have an IV set up and then just pump in the hot liquids… hmmm…
Enjoy winter… because it’s here. I will be counting down the days until spring.
