Animal Cracker Addicts Anonymus

This is my first post as a 23 year old. As I sit here typing this, I am drinking a glass of milk and eating animal crackers… my, how I have matured. My birthday was nice. I went to work and had a pretty good day. No one knew it was my birthday until the receptionist sent out an e-mail. I got a lot of birthday wishes and e-mails. April came over and brought me out to lunch. Then after work, Jim, Andrea, and I met Mom and Dad in Muskegon at Johnny Carino’s for dinner. Jim got me gerber daisies, a cute card and a gift card to Gap, which I used to buy a nice tan dress coat, which I needed badly. Mom and Dad got me a gift card to Kirkland’s. Andrea, who actually gave me my gift on my birthday (there’s a first for everything) got my cute earrings from American Eagle and a gift box from Bath and Body Works full of Warm Vanilla Sugar smelly stuff.

I took Friday off and went with Teresa, Julie, and their friend Michelle to see HARRY POTTER AND THE GOBLET OF FIRE in the IMAX. We had gotten our tickets the week before and went an hour early to get good seats. And we got good seats… right in the middle a few rows from the back. It was a good movie! I was mad at myself for not reading the book first, but the girls said it was pretty close to the book. I had a really good time. When we came back, our couch had come!! I love it! However, the moving men broke the glass on our front door while bringing it in… but they will fix it… maybe we will get a new door because ours is too old to fix… hmmm

Later that night, Jim and I went to Bed Bath & Beyond to buy our lamps. While we were there, we decided to start our registry. Take a look! While we were in there, we saw four other couples registering also. Jim even saw one guy he knew… in fact he shaved Jim’s head once. So we managed to register for bed stuff, towels, and a few pictures. I have been adding stuff online. Our bed stuff is being discontinued, but we were able to put it on hold at the Grandville store, so that people can still buy it from there and get the 40% off! You know me… I love bargains 🙂

I also started our Target registry here. I also did this online. Nice stuff, that technology. We are still going to register at Sears, so Jim can get his “manly” things.

Well… on Saturday, I didn’t go to the game. Suzanne ended up going to see April and invited me to go with her. So, we headed over to Lansing and spent some time with April before she went to the MSU game. We spent a lot of the time with April’s aunts picking out yarn for the scarfs Suz is giving her bridesmaids to wear in the wedding. Isn’t that cool? We met Josh and Jim at Jon and Chaeli’s house later that evening. Jim and Josh still went to the game, which was just east of Lansing. We all went out to Old Chicago for some good deep dish pizza. Then we made another stop at April’s and headed home.
On Sunday, some of my Small family came to Mars and to see Jim and I’s house. It was a really good time and I was so happy to see them again. I miss them!

I only worked Monday and Tuesday this week, but I was really busy. I took today off in hopes of driving to Lansing to see April one last time before she heads back to North Carolina. Buuut… the highways weren’t too nice and my little car likes to slide around a lot. I gave it a try, but decided that I may give myself an aneurism driving to and from Lansing and came back.
Tomorrow is Thanksgiving at the Braam’s. Food, family, and fun 🙂

Friday is the state championship game at Ford Field… I am excited about this one because (1) I have never been to Ford Field (2) the game is inside and (3) I like road trips.

Have a great Thanksgiving!
