Five days until Christmas! Holy cows! Where did time go? I have been super busy again at work. Mars is having four Christmas services – two on Wednesday and two on Thursday. We are introducing a point of sales machine at the info booth complete with a scanner, cash drawer, and pole display for the sale of CD’s, video’s, etc. Sooo I am trying to make sure that is up and running by tomorrow.
This past weekend was fun… long, but fun. On Saturday, Jim, Andrea, and I headed to Muskegon for Christmas with the Meyers (Dad’s side). It was so much fun… I forget how crazy we all are. Jim and I received a donation towards our “marital fund” from cousin Lisa. Yes!
Sunday, I had to work and we went to the 9 o’clock service. So I woke up at 6:45 and worked until 11:30ish. Then we headed to Hesperia for another family Christmas (Mom’s side). That was also fun and involved a rousing game of Balderdash. We had exchanged names at Thanksgiving and kept what names we had a secret. It’s always fun finding out who had who. Jim got a Gap gift card from Uncle Norm and I got a pair of fuzzy super soft socks and a gift card to Old Navy from Uncle Rusty. By the way, I slept in my fuzzy super soft socks last night and accidentally left them on and wore them to work… haha. But, my feet are super warm, so that’s fine with me.
Then that night I went to Michele’s house for the annual underwear and gift exchange. That’s always fun because we try so hard to get each other underwear that represents each other. It’s hard to explain, but sometimes certain people go with certain underwear. I also got a nice scarf and hat and a house to start my Christmas village! Woo-hoo!
I have been using the treadmill Jim bought. I try to run two or three times a week. It’s nice to be able to burn off the Christmas cookies and treats I have been eating because goodness knows I have been eating my share. It’s like everyone automatically becomes Martha Stewart during this time of the year and bakes and bakes. But, I am not complaining! Since I am going to pick up my dress next Wednesday, I would really like it to still fit 🙂 I can pull the little TV into the doorway of the office so I can see it while I run on the treadmill. That way I can distract myself and run longer. I haven’t really figured out if I get bored or if I realize that my body doesn’t like running and wants to stop. But either way, if I am doing or watching something else, I can run a lot longer. I don’t really enjoy running, I just like the feeling I have after I am done.
Well, I probably won’t post before Christmas, so have a Merry Christmas!! Looks like it will be a white one, so enjoy! Remember, you still have 5 days until Christmas to be good. Don’t be naughty these next few days because you still could end up with coal!
