I just want to brag a little… just a little 🙂
Yesterday, I was running a little late at work, so I stayed a little later and then was going to stop and go tanning on my way home. I called Jim to let him know and he said he was still at work too. So I went tanning and ended up waiting because everyone in Jenison goes tanning after work. So, I got home about 6:30. I was surprised that Jim wasn’t home. So, I started dinner and called Jim around 6:45 to see what he wanted. He put me right into voicemail, which usually means he was on his phone. Ok.. I thought… that is weird. I thought he must have had an insurance or customer issue to deal with. Finally he calls and say he is on his way home. So, when he gets home he looks exhausted and it turns out he has come down with the cold thing that I have. So, we sit down to eat and he tells me that he was going to leave work at 4:45 because he wasn’t feeling well. But, on his way out, he noticed a van with a flat tire in the middle of the street. He recognized the driver and his wife. They were elderly customers of his body shop. So, he pulled over and moved the husband and wife (who could barely walk) into his truck. Then over the next couple hours, he tried to change their tire, he drove them home and couldn’t get in so had to go back to his truck and get their garage door opener, then drive back to their house and get them in the house and then contacted their families. My man, who is sick, took a couple hours to help an elderly couple with a flat tire. What a good guy I have 🙂
