M-I-S-S-I-S-S-I-P-P-I

I found out yesterday that I was accepted to be a leader on the high school trip to Hancock County Mississippi. We will be doing a lot of demolition, cleaning, etc to help with the Katrina relief effort. I am really excited and must admit that I have selfish desires for this trip. I think it’s really going to change me and I really want that. I am also sure it’s going to make a huge impact on the students and I hope that I can be a good leader and help them through that. I think back to when I went to Mexico in 1995? and 2002 and though this trip will be different, I know it will have the same effect. I love love love missions trips, and am excited for the impact it will have on everyone involved: students, leaders, and those that live in Mississippi.

Here’s the info:
Leave on Sunday April 1 at 6PM
Arrive in Mississippi on April 2 after 16 hour bus ride (ugh)
Work April 3 – 6
Drive back to MI and arrive on April 7

Keep everyone involved in your thoughts and prayers as we prepare for this trip. Woo-hoo!
